Jennifer Love Hewitt Biography

Jennifer Love Hewitt was born in Waco, Texas, on February 21, 1979 is a great American actress and musician. She is the daughter of Patricia Mae (née Shipp), a speech-language pathologist, and Herbert Daniel Hewitt, a medical technician. Hewitt grew up in Nolanville, Texas. After the divorce of her parents, Hewitt and her older brother, Todd Hewitt, were brought up by her mother. Since childhood, Hewitt had a passion for singing and by the time she was 10, she was able to add dancing to her talents. Although the young Jennifer Love Hewitt had already performed at shows and toured with the Texas Show Team, she had bigger aspirations: She wanted to take on Hollywood.

Career
Hewitt made her first appearance on television in 1984 as a child by appearing in television commercials and the Disney Channel series Kids Incorporated. She rose to fame in teenage popular culture in her roles in the Fox series Party of Five, as Sarah Reeves, and films I Know What You Did Last Summer and its sequel, as Julie James.

She made her American musical debut in 1995 with the release of Lets Go Bang, and could also be heard singing two tracks for the House Arrest (1996) soundtrack in addition to playing a lead role in the film itself. Can’t Hardly Wait, a 1998 teen movie which featured Hewitt as the girl du jour, made enough of a splash in the genre to be parodied in 2002′s Not Another Teen Movie.

She appeared in Enrique Iglesias’s music video for the song “Hero”. During the years she received many awards including Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Female Newcomer, Teen Choice Award or People’s Choice Award for Favorite Female Television Performer in a New Series.
